v13 updates - under the hood

New Smooth Flight system—size-dependent, might be a bit of a bear to calibrate for your avatar if your proportions are different from mine, I have no advice.

New Forefoot Pickup System—no more twist in the constraints, no more fiddling with anything but making your forepaw match your hand via the script! If you can’t see your hand because you’re a quad, just put the paw in a reasonable A-pose that suits your foreleg. This system now runs off Contacts that capture your wrist flexing; they must be manually repositioned and possibly resized, but the script has instructions.

New Wings System—more constraints, but more robust. Go ahead and upload your wings inverted, spread, or folded; how they are in the Scene will be how you appear to others who have not shown your features, so it’s politest to upload them folded.

There’s a “stub” for a system to handle spreading your pinions or wing fingers. Read how the .anims are named and replace them with your own for excellent results.

New Hand-and-Foot Blendtree System—I now capture two floats that represent how far apart your hands are and how far apart your feet are, and use them to drive tail behavior (and pinion/wing fingers, though you’ll need to DIY this bit). It’s not fully implemented, but later I’d like to have the script help you make a “light AnyTaur” with way fewer constraints (and a few fewer features), whose wings and tail are handled entirely by blendtrees driven by these two floats. They are so good… they work so well… I used them to enliven the onboard poseclone poses, too… though you’ll need to update all the new custom animations to account for your avatar’s unique proportions.

New Custom Animation Blendtrees—speaking of. I added blendtrees to all the formerly static custom poses. They really make you come alive with your normal, subtle Humanoid movements. However, this has made it exponentially more laborious to fully finish your custom AnyTaur. So if you just can’t face using the POSE CLONE system or going back to Blender and making a poseclone there and fixing all these animations, just delete the Poses submenu from the default Expression Menu.
